Take the high road...

Hello there blogger buddies! Sorry it's been awhile since my last post...I must have needed to UNPLUG for a few days :0)

The past week has been a bit on the tough side for my family...without going into all of the deets...here's a quick recap: We live in a VERY small rural community. Everyone pretty much knows everyone. & we are proud of our little town, our little school, etc.!!! Well, we got "news" about a week ago that friends of ours had decided to move to a neighboring town (just 10 miles away) & would be enrolling their kids into this RIVAL school. Let me just say:

WE WERE MAD.

WE WERE ANGRY.

WE WERE HURT.

It's still just UNBELIEVABLE. Our kids had grown up together & would all be in high school together this year...so for my boys, it is like losing your best friend...

The good news? The healing has begun!!! We have done all we could do to convince this family ( & their possible followers) that they are making a mistake. After a week of negative thoughts, anger, hurt feelings....my DH pulled his family together yesterday...& we prayed together. What a wonderful man to lead his young sons to acceptance, healing & forgiveness.

So the next time you feel like the world is falling apart around you, like you can't take one more disappointment....just remember, God won't give you more than you can handle. Remember to pray. Remember to take the high road....

Thanks for stopping by! Take care!

P.S. The PLAN is to post again tonight!!!

P.S.S. My blog anniversary GIVEAWAY is heading your way...very soon!!! :0)

Oh what a hard thing to take! But you all handled it exactly as you should have. There is no need to deny yourself the right to feel the pain and the anger, but what you do with those feelings is the measure of your character. And you, my friend, you and your family exhibited THE greatest strength of character! And a HUGE amen to God being in control!!!!
