a week in the life...

Happy weekend everyone! So far, my Saturday has been spent getting a color & haircut, which was much needed...& then of course, there is the ever present LAUNDRY chore!%$&*#@ I swear my teenage sons must change 3 or 4 times a day...ok, maybe that is a good thing :o) We sure wouldn't want them running around all day in the same clothes that they do early morning weights or basketball workouts in, now would we!?!

I have been LUCKY enough to sneak in some scrappy time too...just don't tell anyone! ha, ha! Actually, working on an article for Scrapjazz...would LOVE to give you a sneak peek...ok, how about a sneak peak?

What a fun little project...can't wait to show the whole thing!

As some of you may know, I did Project 365 in 2009. LOVED taking photos everyday. LOVED putting together the album. STILL putting together the album...LOL! So, because my 2009 project was not completed, I decided not to do the project in 2010. Let me just say...I miss doing the project :o(

That is why I have decided to join in with Ali Edwards and do "a week in the life"....here are a few photos of supplies I have gathered. I am following Ali's lead & using page protectors and I have created my very own page title cards and journaling cards...I will share more next week as I take photos & get my album put together...wish me luck...next week is BUSY!!!

I can't wait to get this project started! It is going to be lots of fun!
Have a great weekend...take care!

I've been "BLOG SPOTTED" by Cards magazine :o)

Ok...seriously excited about this! & totally surprised! & shocked!

I received an email today indicating that I had a new comment on my blog...well, if you are like me, you LOVE getting comments! I think we all just need that little bit of positive reinforcement & it's always fun to get comments from blogger buddies...so the new comment was posted on THIS post by Hannah @ CARDS magazine. Holy cow...are you serious? She told me I had been BLOG SPOTTED!!! Total surprise for me! Thanks Hannah!

Thanks for stopping by! Take care!

Happy Easter...how about a Christmas layout???

So I thought that things would SLOW down after basketball season...yeah right! Who am I kidding? Apparently, only myself!

After a LONG withdrawal from all things scrappy...I snuck in a little bit of time last night. Want to know what inspired me? Well, the American Crafts blog...that's what! They have fun challenges EVERY week, but this is the FIRST time I have actually played along!!!

So, what to create? I dug thru my very small supply of Flair :o( and decided to go with the Christmas ones I picked up at Hobby Lobby last year....I tried a card, but my MOJO just wasn't feeling it. SO....I retrieved the pile of Christmas card photos we received in 2009 and decided to do a collage of those photos. I kept it super simple and tried something new for me...a double page 8.5 x 11 layout...on white cardstock. LOVE the results!!!

And a few closeups of my FLAIR...

This little tree is so cute...

I really LOVE the clean & simple look to this layout...really lets the photos shine! (I think I was trying to channel Ali Edwards here...photos + words...gotta love it!)

Supplies: White cardstock-Walmart, Red cardstock-Creative Memories, Flair by American Crafts, Fiskars Threading Water border punch, zig zag machine stitching, Martha Stewart journaling pen, The Paper Studio-sentiment stamp, Stampin' Up-Real Red ink, date stamp

Thanks for stopping by! Wishing everyone a wonderful Easter weekend! Take care!
