For the love of PageMaps...

I'll admit it once again...I'm addicted to PageMaps!!! They are my favorite sketches....& there is something up for grabs again, so you should go check out the PageMaps blog!!!

Here's the sketch:

& the only criteria was to create using a SUMMER theme...so I grabbed my Scrapbook Circle kit from June because I knew the Cosmo Cricket Snorkel pp's & the Fancy Pants Summer Soiree pp's would be PERFECT!

Soak up the Sun:

These photos are of my son Joel hanging out at Gma Sarah's pool in June '07. He took one look at this layout & said "Wow, I've changed, haven't I MOM?" Yep. It's amazing what 2 years will do to ya! The biggest difference is no braces now...& that really changed his looks.

A close up of the journaling...because I still haven't figured out how to load my photos into blogger so that you can click on them to get a "zoomed" view...anyone an expert out there???

A favorite technique for me right now is folding, distressing & stitching paper to create strips...they add so much dimension! & they were perfect for creating the "frame" in the sketch!

Aren't these October Afternoon Road Map label stickers cool? I just love them! They were included in the August kit @ Scrapbook Circle :0)

Soooooo, I have a question. Will you be my technique guru when I'm struggling with my Technique Tuesday assignments for my new DT gig? I'm serious! You are really rocking EVERYTHING you touch lately. Not that you didn't always do that. You know I've always been a fan of your work. But I'm just drooling all over myself lately. LOL!

Thanks for the encouraging words about my bummer of a day(s). I knew it was just one of those days and I'm old enough to know you just have to wallow in it a little and then move on.

Speaking of my wallowing, I didn't forget to post your give away. I just didn't want to associate your name with something so ummmmm, un-positive! LOL! I have a follow up to last nights post that is a bit more (OK alot more) upbeat and I'll be mentioning it then.

Hope you have a wonderful day! Mine is already one thousand times better than yesterday...if you ignore the fact that I burned the snot out of my head with a curling iron this morning. LOL! I've only done that one other time and it hurts like a son of a gun! xoxo L

Good choice of paper. Love your layout. Like the frame around your picture, stitching is something I just can't get into for some reason.
